There are also times when a change in career should bring with it a change in credit card. A classic example is the businessperson who needed to travel frequently overseas. These regular trips meant it was worthwhile to pay steep annual fees for a credit card that offered bonuses such as discounts on air fares, free baggage checking and priority boarding. Now this businessperson is working in a field where overseas travel is not required. If this is the case it no longer makes sense to pay high credit card fees for benefits that are no longer required. This is an appropriate time to look for a better deal.
